The Construction/Contracts Manager plays a vital role in orchestrating complex projects, ensuring effective communication across all disciplines while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Main responsibilities include:
* Communication: Facilitate effective communication between clients, architects, engineers, and EHS practices involved in their client's contracts.
* Project Management: Develop and oversee detailed work programs, including the coordination of subcontractors and resources, to ensure project completion within budget and schedule.
* Financial Control: Maintain financial control over construction work, aiming for maximum cost-effectiveness while preparing weekly performance reports.
* Risk Management: Lead project risk management by developing registers and recovery strategies, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
* Representation: Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, while promoting a safety-first culture among site operatives and management.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Construction, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
* Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, teamwork, and presentation skills.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point, along with strong report writing skills.
