About the Role:
This position supports clients with daily living needs, providing care in their homes. Care services must be delivered safely, compassionately, and with a caring attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personal care, including toileting, meal preparation, mobility assistance, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high dependency care; supervise medication; perform light housework and basic shopping tasks.
* Follow client-specific care plans, which outline individual service requirements.
* Facilitate social interactions, activities, and companionship.
* Promote independence.
* Maintain positive relationships with clients and their families through active listening and engagement.
* Ensure punctuality and effective time management.
* OBSERVE AND MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY AT ALL TIMES.
* Communicate changes or concerns related to client needs or care with the office.
* Report and record any incidents.
* Comply with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Hold QQI Level 5 in Healthcare with relevant modules completed or in progress (or equivalent).
* Possess a clean Garda Vetting Certificate and International Police Clearance Certificate (if applicable).
* Be willing to undergo a medical examination for a fitness-for-work certificate.
* Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as well as knowledge of Google Maps to locate clients' homes.
* Experience working in a healthcare environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrate reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness, with a strong understanding of GDPR principles when working with the elderly.
* Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
