Job Description
The Delivery BIM Manager is responsible for the implementation, development and delivery of BIM and co-ordination throughout the organisation. The role of the Delivery BIM Manager is split between Project Delivery and BIM Development. The role holder will work to establish and enforce BIM standards, conduct regular audits for accuracy, and provide technical guidance and training to team members. The role holder will manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Principal Accountabilities
* Oversee the integration of models from different disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to create a cohesive and clash-free master model.
* BIM Project set-up and support/admin for a multi-discipline project across multiple application platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, etc.).
* BIM integration/interoperability with internal design team members and external vendors.
* Establish and enforce BIM standards and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across all BIM-related activities.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of BIM models, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
* Provide guidance and training to team members on BIM tools and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and ensure the BIM process runs smoothly.
* Oversee the implementation and management of BIM-supporting software, including updates and troubleshooting.
* Perform additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience within a BIM/Co-ordination Management role in the engineering/construction industry of medium to large capital projects.
* Proven experience in a technical and/or engineering space with a comprehensive understanding of project information management principles and application.
Skills
* Expertise in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD, and Bentley Systems.
* Understanding of BIM standards like ISO 19650.
* Strong skills in coordinating teams, managing timelines, and ensuring resource optimisation.
* Ability to interpret complex data sets to identify efficiencies and potential risks.
* Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and information sharing, especially when presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications
Formal Education Qualification
Minimum Level 6/7 NFQ (or equivalent) in relevant subject area, engineering, construction, project management - Validate with Function Director.
Practicing/Training/Compliance Certification
Certification in BIM Management / Building Information Modelling desirable but not necessary – to be validated with function director.
