Data Center Services Procurement (DCSP) supports Data Center Capacity Delivery in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, and manages the full “Supplier Lifecycle” including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management, Supplier Development, and portions of requisitioning and payment operations.
We are looking for a Procurement Ops Specialist to support the Japanese data center construction space supporting various categories. As a Procurement Ops Specialist, you will work closely with the procurement category managers in creating and supporting Vendor qualifications, request for proposals, vendor performance dashboards for construction, professional services, engineering and related categories. You will also provide input on procurement processes and tools to help identify waste and enable innovation across teams. The ideal candidate must be collaborative. To be successful in this role, you must be highly analytical; think practically; have a sense of urgency to meet internal customer timelines; exhibit an intense curiosity and learning drive, succeed in a fast-paced environment; engage key stakeholders where needed; and have a high level of focus. Also, you must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion to meet business objectives. It will be critical to embrace and model Amazon’s Leadership Principles and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Independently and cross-functionally deliver on projects/goals
2. Manage assigned supplier on-boarding and qualification processes
3. Manage assigned tender events, and related follow-on contract generation supporting the Procurement Category Manager.
4. Manage post contract metrics and audit process for work awarded.
5. Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and identify opportunities for process improvement and develop training documentation
6. Monitor and manage purchase requisition process using information provided by business owners and suppliers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree from an accredited university
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a procurement organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Japanese and English, and highly proficient in MS Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or Finance
- Knowledge of software tools used in procurement, demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, analyze and report out on metrics
- Experience as procurement/purchasing analyst, or other operational role within a procurement organization
- Meets/Exceeds functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
