The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Executive to join our dynamic HR department on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, the successful candidate will work directly with the HR Director, providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the business. The day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Employee Relations: Providing guidance and support to employees and the management team on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* HR Management System(s): Managing and maintaining HR records within our databases, including the recording of all leave absences (sick leave, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, etc). Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in processing HR administration and filing, and generate reports as required.
* Recruitment & Selection: Administering recruitment processes, including advertising, liaising with recruitment agencies where appropriate along with scheduling and conducting interviews as required. Working closely with departments to ensure that we attract, select, and retain the best talent and driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention;
* Payroll and Benefits Administration: Supporting payroll processing and benefits administration, including handling employee inquiries and liaising with internal departments and external providers.
* Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations and assist with the preparation of HR reports, policies and procedures.
* General Administrative Support: Assisting with general administrative tasks, such as document preparation, employment contract generation, filing, and correspondence. Participate in administrative, team & other meetings as necessary, as a representative of the HR department.
* Performance Reviews: Assisting with the administration, recording and data entry of annual performance reviews.
* Onboarding: Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires which will include liaising with wider teams such as the IT and Training departments to ensure equipment and training needs have been catered for, preparing starter checklists and induction materials and delivering orientation sessions.
* Offboarding: Facilitating the offboarding process for leavers including data entry of leaver details to our HR Management system, liaising with wider teams such as the IT department, and conducting exit interviews.
* Employee Initiatives: Organising and promoting employee health and wellbeing initiatives.
* Ad hoc: Other duties may be assigned, where appropriate.
Successful candidates will require the following:
* Previous experience in a HR administrative role, preferably within the legal sector or professional services environment.
* Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Be reliable, conscientious and proactive;
* Have strong organisational and time management skills;
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Have strong attention to detail and an ability to manage sensitive information with discretion;
* Can adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
