The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role, supporting the Centre on a full-time contract. This includes ensuring Personal Plans, Risk Assessments and Behavioural Support Plans are up to date, delivering duties within the Centre daily to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
As Person in Charge, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality of care and support to people who use this service, meeting regulation compliance in accordance with Health ACT 2007 (Care and support of residents in designated centres for persons (Children and Adults; with disabilities) Regulations 2013.
You will manage the staff team to provide support to people who use this service, coordinating the input required from other individuals as needed, while also providing mentorship and leadership to your team daily. Formal supervisions, appraisals, and monthly team meetings will take place under your control and supervision.
You will oversee the service across shifts to ensure effective and efficient services are delivered within the centre, maintaining the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidance. You will contribute to and maintain an effective team, participating in meetings, reviews, and committees as required, seeking and providing guidance from others as needed.
Requirements: A Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related qualification (or suitable equivalent qualification with management qualification in healthcare), a Full Clean Drivers license, 3 years minimum managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting, strong leadership skills, strong problem-solving skills and judgement making critical decisions and recommendations, capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team, good listener and open to learning from others, excellent organisational skills / self-motivation / self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills, dedicated, reliable and flexible approach to work.
