We at Noel Group are delighted to be looking for a talented and motivated Senior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at one of our clients based in Galway. As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Supervise and lead a team of chefs, kitchen porters, and assistants, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards.
* Ensure that all food preparation and presentation meet the establishments quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
* Step in to cover the Head Chef’s duties during their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
* Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and maintain consistency in food quality.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a gastropub, restaurant, or similar venue.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a kitchen team.
* Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating high-quality dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak service hours.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and management teams.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
