The Client and overview of the opportunity:
My Client is a Connacht-based Main Contractor with numerous projects in the Connacht including; Housing, Commercial, Industrial, Civil Infrastructure, and Education builds. They turnover in excess of €90m and have a decent name in the market as fair employers. They offer a very extensive benefits package on top of strong salaries.
This company has been continuously trading for 50+ years and has a track record of developing and retaining talent. They are looking for future Leaders and can offer obvious progression opportunities from Day 1.
I am looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join the team. Initially, you'll be working on a c.€15m project and will be the sole Engineer on-site, working with an experienced PM.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
* Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
* Problem-solving.
* Setting-Out using Total Stations.
* Creating, managing, monitoring, and interpreting the design documents.
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Supervision and monitoring of ground works and civil engineering contractors.
* Quality management and BCAR coordination.
Requirements
* A minimum level 8 Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
* 5+ years of Civil Engineering or Senior Site Engineering for complex construction projects in Ireland.
* Strong understanding of utilities companies and local authorities' expectations and requirements when it comes to building.
* Good communicator with a passion for Engineering in general.
* Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and coordinating skills.
* Full clean driving license.
