The Business Development Role
To drive growth within our organisation across all product groups through acquiring new customers, identifying target sectors and industries, developing marketing strategies, generating sales opportunities and establishing relationships with new customers in a B2B environment. Additionally, to manage existing customer accounts, grow business value by developing relationships and promoting additional products.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and general market awareness.
* Develop targeted marketing strategies, including digital and web channels, to attract new customers across all product ranges.
* Proactively seek new business opportunities using marketing tools.
* Attend industry-related events to network and promote our products and services.
* Identify and target key new customers.
* Meet potential new customers for face-to-face and virtual meetings.
* Prepare sales presentations to introduce our company and products.
* Create and follow up on leads from potential new customers.
* Generate quotations and negotiate pricing for new customers.
* Establish and develop relationships with new customers.
* Provide specialist advice on our products and services.
* Meet sales targets for new customers.
* Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
* Provide quotations across all product groups.
* Promote additional products and services to existing customers.
* Promote label and ribbon contracts.
* Process sales orders for new and existing customers.
Requirements
* Successful B2B sales experience with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* A background in the labels/printing industry is advantageous but not essential.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Understanding of business drivers and client needs.
* Good IT and presentation skills.
* Able to research our products and services to successfully sell.
* Achieving targets.
* Valid driving licence.
* Able to travel throughout Ireland as required.
