The Vice-President will report directly to the President and is responsible for the theme of People and Community within the University Strategic Plan across all six campuses in MTU. The role includes all aspects of HR including staff recruitment, retention, training and development, employee relations, and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The Vice-President will also lead staff engagement and satisfaction and collaborate closely with the Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Registrar to support student satisfaction. The Vice-President will play a critical role in creating a positive and supportive work environment that allows the University to attract and retain top talent while fostering a culture that aligns with the University’s values and goals. The Vice-President will lead and support the University community through complex organisational change.The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience leading an effective People strategy or people aspects of a strategy as well as having led a professional services function in a large and complex organisation. They will have a track record of delivering business planning and cost-efficient management of a budget to support organisational objectives.
