Procurement Manager
We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join our client, a progressive agricultural business based North of Cork City.
The company manufactures and distributes high-performance animal health products to the animal health industry in Ireland and internationally.
Job Summary
This is a full-time permanent role that involves managing Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) activities to support the value proposition by driving cost focus, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage supply chain and procurement activities to achieve reduced costs, improved operating efficiencies, and product/service quality.
* Review existing suppliers to ensure the company attains the best value for money and is competitive in the market.
* Create and coordinate an annual savings pipeline to deliver additional value to the laboratory business.
* SUPPLIER COMPLIANCE – Support and drive the business to further ambitions and reach targeted goals on compliance with suppliers to maximise commercial opportunity.
* CARRY OUT SUPPLIER COMPETITIVE TENDER ACTIVITIES TO MAXIMISE COMMERCIAL BENEFIT TO THE BUSINESS.
* Evaluate general price increase and inflation management for the business.
* Support rebate collection and coordination.
* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure collaboration with on-site teams.
* Maintain supplier contacts/relationships and source new suppliers by attending key trade fairs worldwide.
* Collaborate with the CFO to maintain accurate purchasing forecasts and cash flows.
* Maximise cash flow by minimising stock levels and ensuring timely turnover of raw materials and packaging.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a degree education and 8-10 years' experience. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, knowledge of negotiation and contracting processes, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
The candidate should be able to operate at multiple levels using different formats, have project management skills, and be a team player with proactive self-starting qualities.
