Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Antrim-based specialist manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK is seeking a highly skilled maintenance engineer with strong Electrical and mechanical background.
The ideal candidate will be capable of undertaking various planned, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment identifying faults and solutions alike.
This is a fast-paced production environment where the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintenance and support tasks on high speed automated equipment
* Engaging with a changing work environment involving shift work
* Maintaining and supporting automated and conveying systems
* Maintaining and supporting production electronic/electrical systems
* Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations
* Implementing solutions to improve machine reliability and quality issues
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Strong knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics and program knowledge
* Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems desirable
* Knowledge of PLC controlled systems and their energised components
* Team working and flexibility with an open attitude
* Effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management
Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities. Strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem-solving. Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Requirements:
* Timed served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
* A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment
In return, you can expect:
* A 3-shift pattern (Monday - Friday) with an early finish on Fridays
* Overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate
* A starting hourly rate of £18 + 15% shift premium
