Position Description:
This management position is within the Private Equity unit of SEI and will involve supporting the manager in the running of the Investor Services team. Candidates must have a high level of understanding of Private Equity structures and the associated transfer agency process of such structures.
What you’ll do:
1. Assist with the Management of Investor Services Private Equity team within SEI.
2. Ensure a smooth investor account opening process.
3. Ensure investor requests for information are dealt with efficiently.
4. Ensure the quality of work is maintained at a high standard and that all investor correspondence is sent timely and accurately.
5. Ensure all payments made to investors are accurate.
6. Assist with the review of Limited Partnership Agreements and OM’s pre-launch of each Fund and have the ability to identify and highlight potential operating issues.
7. Develop relationships with all client contacts including investment professionals, investors, lawyers, auditors, and banking personnel.
8. Supervise staff on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities.
9. Train, coach, and mentor new employees, develop and motivate staff within their sub-unit.
10. Provide input and feedback regarding employees’ ongoing performance/development/performance appraisals.
11. Organize and run team meetings.
12. Work closely with the Private Equity Fund Accounting team.
13. Meet all reporting deliverables.
14. Enforce adherence to service standards and specified deadlines.
15. Idea generation and ongoing assessment and improvement of operational service model.
16. Maintain a good working relationship with external clients, investors as well as with internal relationship managers and other business units within SEI.
17. Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures.
18. Carry out all duties assigned to your role under the Company’s Safety Statement, to ensure Health, Safety, and Wellbeing for all employees for whom you have responsibility.
19. Work on Projects/Ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you bring to the table:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in a transfer agency role with at least 3 of those working in a Private Equity role.
2. Experience in working on a Private Equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
3. Strong knowledge of Private Equity structures and various Fund domiciles regulatory requirements.
4. Strong understanding of the capital call process, sub-closes, equalization, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
5. Experience in reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and OM’s.
6. Understanding of AML regulations.
7. Experience in supervisory/management skills and/or coaching/mentoring.
8. P.C. proficient.
9. Third Level Degree in Finance or related field.
