Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and meet all regulatory requirements.
This includes working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and analyse structural components and systems for a variety of projects.
* Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications.
* Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Requirements:
* Chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland, ICE).
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering in the UK or Ireland, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
* Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000).
* Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
