Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will assist the Section Manager in Planning to provide excellent monitoring and evaluation for the organisation with a focus on supporting the monitoring and evaluation of strategy. The role will require the candidate to assist the provision of high quality and FDI relevant data and analysis, in particular the IDA Annual Employment Survey (AES) and ABSEI surveys and to work collaboratively to continuously improve business processes ensuring an ongoing improvement in data quality and availability. The successful candidate will report directly to the Section Manager, Planning (Monitoring & Evaluation) in Corporate Strategy & Planning.
The Corporate Strategy and Planning team provides important support to the entire organisation in terms of strategy delivery and implementation, management information development, and economic and policy analysis.
Key Tasks: To contribute to and support the monitoring and evaluation of IDA's 2025-29 strategy and to help report progress to the Executive Committee, Board and Management team as appropriate.To support the Section Manager, Divisional Manager and wider Corporate Strategy & Planning and Strategic Policy teams in providing IDA with high-quality information, research and analysis, strategic planning and economic policy advisory expertise.To assist in preparing and delivering the annual results paper for the organisation to the Executive Committee.To manage the delivery of the Annual Employment Survey and Annual Business Survey of Economic Impact (ABSEI) ensuring continued quality and accuracy of information along with other ad hoc quantitative research exercises to ensure IDA has continual high-quality data that demonstrates the impact of the Agency's work.To establish, maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including representing IDA Ireland on the quarterly cross agency (DETE, Enterprise Ireland and Udaras Na Gaeltachta) steering group on surveys.To carry out analysis on the risk profile of IDA clients with permanent employment of over 50, leveraging insights from the Client Development Process (CDC) and Salesforce.To manage and deliver key documents such as 'Facts About Ireland' and 'Country Investment Briefs'.To manage and provide information to third parties for international rankings (e.g. IMD World Competitiveness Report, including the Executive Opinion Survey).To coordinate, manage and respond to information requests from IDA Executives efficiently.To support the section manager in utilising existing and emerging technologies, in collaboration with IT, and to optimise use of IDA data in supporting research and analysis.To ensure dignity, respect and equality are applied within and outside the Organisation and that a work life balance is supported as much as possible in the workplace.To undertake continuous learning and development through informal and formal learning and participation in the Performance Management and Development Review Process.To demonstrate flexibility in undertaking additional tasks that can arise or are assigned to this role.Ensure that IDA's values of People, Professionalism, Passion for Performance and Public Service are always upheld.Requirements for the role:A third level qualification in Economics to minimum of degree level recognized on the National Qualification Framework and relevant business experience is essential.Numerically competent and an ability to work with Excel, Power BI and Salesforce.Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.A full current driving license is preferred but not essential.Ability to work well under pressure, to meet tight deadlines and to work flexibly and independently on own initiative.Ability and flexibility to undertake International and domestic travel.Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours when required.Ongoing flexibility and interest in career progression and development via opportunities, which may arise in IDA's offices throughout Ireland and Overseas.KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Communications and Personal EffectivenessClient Focused Relationship BuildingNegotiation and InfluencingKnowledge of the businessCreativity and InnovationNetworkingProject ManagementSalary Scale: €50,501 to €72,534 per annum contributory superannuation.
Rising by long service increments to €74,277 (after 3 years satisfactory service at the maximum of the range). N.B Non-negotiable to start at the minimum of the scale.
