Career Vision Recruiters are recruiting for a Night Manager for a 4* Hotel property in Co. Carlow. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the nights department including managing the night audit, reception desk, and the hotel at night. An Assistant Manager and porter team are in place.
Duties will include:
1. To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and any other persons on the premises.
2. Responding to guest queries in a professional and timely manner.
3. Completing the Fire-walks.
4. Assisting with set-ups for conferences & weddings.
5. To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and visitors at all times.
6. To ensure that all corridors, fire exits, staircases, and cupboards are kept clear of obstruction.
7. To carry out security checks of the entire hotel building on a regular basis and to collect room service breakfast cards en route.
8. To create and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and managers.
9. To receive orders, prepare, and service light refreshments to guest rooms and the lobby as required.
10. To ensure and assist if necessary that the required cleaning duties are being carried out by staff throughout the night, including public areas, toilets, meeting rooms, staff canteen, food and beverage outlets, kitchen, and any other areas required.
11. To provide check-in/check-out reception services.
12. To ensure all employees receive adequate training during and on commencement of employment following a structured training plan and that all new employees attend induction.
13. Responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the department.
