Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Public Health Nursing (ADPHN) will be responsible for managing the community nursing service under the leadership of the Director of Public Health Nursing. The successful candidate will deliver an efficient and effective community service to those in need, supervising all nursing staff and developing working relationships with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of a high-quality community service to eligible individuals
* Develop and maintain working relationships with healthcare professionals, voluntary and statutory bodies, and representatives of marginalized groups
* Supervise and lead nursing staff to ensure optimal use of resources
Essential Criteria
* Statutory Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
* At least 5 years of satisfactory experience as a Public Health Nurse in the Irish Health Sector or an analogous post
* Clinical, leadership, managerial, and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of duties
Annual Requirements
* Maintain live annual registration in the Public Nursing Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives
* Confirm annual registration with NMBI through the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate
