This Is How You Can Make a Difference at Abbott:
As a Lead Operator in Abbott, Kilkenny, you will ensure that production targets and schedules are achieved for your line. You will assist the Operations team lead in achieving process area goals and provide guidance and information for operators and support groups.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be:
* Coordinate production area workflow to meet Master Schedule requirements.
* Coordinate work assignments within the production department, including training, technical support, and process troubleshooting.
* Work with internal resources to resolve problems.
* Represent production on projects when needed and train other employees.
* Start up and shut down your line or area.
* Coordinate break schedules and assist with machine operation during breaks.
* Assemble, repair, inspect, and test products following written instructions.
* Set up and operate manufacturing machines or equipment.
* Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures.
* Record information on approved documents.
* Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
* Solve complex problems requiring advanced interpretation of procedures and practices.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum education - Leaving Certificate.
* Previous experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a Senior Operator role, with demonstrated ability to acquire and apply manufacturing principles.
* Experience working in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment preferred, especially in the medical device, pharma, automotive, tech, or food industries.
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment, multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines in a timely manner.
