Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

They operate across Ireland, the UK and Europe, and have become the engineering service provider of choice in growth segments such as pharmaceuticals, data centres and power transmission and distribution.
Role Purpose
The Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor will work across various contracts ensuring the maximum commercial benefit for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute project stages in conjunction with the project team, including budgeting, reporting, developing BOQ's, profit plans, and managing subcontractor accounts.
* Manage interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams, and report on the commercial status of projects.
* Issue interim and final accounts, progress applications, and payment certificates per project and contract requirements.
* Identify potential commercial risks and escalate them to senior management.
* Maintain accurate records and provide detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.
Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of quantity surveying experience on mechanical projects.
* 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying, ideally coupled with a technical background as either Plumber/Pipefitter (or similar) or Mechanical Engineer.
* Experience working on mechanical value projects exceeding €5 million in the data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial sectors.
* Proficient in Excel.
* Detailed knowledge of commercial management and QS Role within construction.
* Knowledge of contract conditions and their applications.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, record-keeping, and administration skills.
