Responsibilities:
* Oversee all EHS operations on site, ensuring compliance with local and European legislation.
* Implement and maintain robust safety management systems tailored to specific project needs.
* Collaborate with project managers and teams to identify potential risks and develop effective risk control strategies.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify improvement areas.
* Deliver comprehensive safety reports and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
* Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
* Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups, to communicate our EHS commitments and achievements.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in the construction or engineering sector, with a proven track record on major projects.
* Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading teams and influencing positive safety culture.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish and European EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent EHS certifications.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective EHS strategies that drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in renewable energy projects or large-scale infrastructure developments is a distinct advantage.
* Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability reporting frameworks.
* Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
