Named Account Executive - Ireland Public Sector, Local Government
Overview of the Role
We are seeking a resilient and tenacious Public Sector Account Executive to drive the adoption of Salesforce’s enterprise solutions across government agencies and public sector institutions in Ireland. This role is focused on whitespace prospecting, building long-term relationships, and navigating complex procurement processes to identify and seize new business opportunities. Success in this role requires a strong hunter mentality, resilience in the face of challenges, and a commitment to cultivating lasting partnerships with key public sector stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the public sector, focusing on whitespace accounts and building a robust sales pipeline through tenacity and persistence.
* Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and procurement officials, ensuring Salesforce becomes their trusted technology partner.
* Execute strategic sales plans tailored to public sector needs, with a focus on long-term success rather than short-term wins, while navigating procurement processes like RFPs and tenders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored proposals and product demonstrations, ensuring alignment with the unique goals and challenges of public sector clients.
* Represent Salesforce at industry events and networking opportunities, establishing brand presence and fostering meaningful connections within the public sector.
* Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty through dedicated account management, continuously building and expanding relationships for long-term growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven success in a hunter-focused sales role, with experience in public sector enterprise sales.
* Strong resilience and tenacity, with the ability to prospect and close long-term opportunities while managing complex sales cycles.
* Expertise in navigating public sector procurement processes (RFPs, RFIs, tendering) and aligning solutions with the sector’s unique needs.
* Ability to build and sustain relationships with senior decision-makers, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and procurement teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a focus on long-term relationship building.
* Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas in a challenging, target-driven environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
* Familiarity with digital transformation trends and technology adoption within the public sector.
