Meeting & Events Sales Executive - Clayton Hotel Sligo
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Meeting & Events Sales Executive in the Clayton Hotel Sligo
Set on beautiful grounds overlooked by the spectacular Benbulben Mountain, the 4-star Clayton Hotel Sligo has 162 bedrooms, of which 96 are superior bedrooms. The hotel has 6 meeting rooms accommodating 2 to 600 delegates, all of which are situated in the purpose-built conference centre.
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Meeting & Events Sales Executive will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the Meeting & Events sales targets of the hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Proactively generate meeting and events and wedding enquiries for the team.
* Be the first point of contact for all meeting and events and wedding enquiries via telephone, e-mail, and walk-ins.
* Provide menus, price quotes, and event information to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
* Work at promotional shows and stands to promote the hotel.
* Meet weekly KPI targets on sales appointments.
* Prepare a concise, complete, and accurate schedule/function sheet for each event.
* Provide input on activity and new ideas to generate revenue for the quarterly and annual Sales plan.
* Conduct site inspections on the property with potential clients.
* Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
* Follow up on leads and enquiries and take conference, banqueting, event, and wedding bookings.
* Close prospects as confirmed bookings and maximise all revenue potential by upselling in all revenue-producing areas.
Requirements:
* 1 – 2 years previous event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue.
* Experience working with customers.
* An excellent command of the English language.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to see an opportunity and act on it to secure revenue for the hotel.
* Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
* High level of creativity.
* Full driving license is essential.
