Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Amazon Asia-Pacific Resources Private Limited (Singapore). Our team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Designing and reviewing equipment submittals for new Data Centers in your region.
* Troubleshooting site/equipment failures, conducting Root Cause Analysis, and creating Corrective Action documentation.
* Providing operational support, including ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
* Designing upgrades for existing data centers to improve capacity, availability, and efficiency.
* Collaborating with internal teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
* Working on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
* Initiating and leading engineering audits, including on-site visits, and producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.
* Acting as a resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities.
* Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers.
* Fluent knowledge of continuous operating redundant electrical systems, cooling systems, air flow containment systems, and building management systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Organized and able to set priorities with leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
* Experience as a resident engineer or hands-on design consultant, able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
* Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and high-quality standards.
