The Role – Accounts Assistant
This role is in our Business Support Service team (BSS). We are looking to recruit an experienced Account Assistant to join our expanding team!
What the role involves:
1. Working on a portfolio of clients to keep their company’s accounts up to date, accurately record Sales, Purchase and Bank
2. Recording all receipts and payments and performing bank reconciliations
3. Inputting into accounting software such as Brightbooks/Surf and XERO
4. Preparing financial information of management accounts and prepare accounts to Trial Balance for the management team
5. Prepare and file VAT, RCT’s, Vies and Intrastat and other relevant taxation returns
6. Other duties, as need arises
Requirements for the post:
1. Experience of accounting software and third-party tools – Xero, BrightBooks (Surf), AutoEntry and Dext
2. 2 years previous Bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant experience
3. Experience filing Revenue returns on-line through ROS.
4. Record of managing a portfolio of client accounts simultaneously
5. Experience and a strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
6. Can work as part of a team and on your own initiative
7. Can plan and control your workload effectively and efficiently
8. Excellent bookkeeping skills – IATI qualification an advantage
9. Orderly filing
10. Excellent PC skills, including Excel and Word
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. Highly motivated and looking to further your career
Additional information
1. This is a full-time permanent position
2. Reporting to the Managing BSS
3. This role is on-site in our Dublin City Centre location
