The Role:
The AVP Technical Lease Management will report directly to the Manager – Technical Lease Management. The primary focus of the role is to ensure oversight for all Avolon’s on-lease assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage Aerlytix maintenance forecast to enable proactive management of our leases.
* Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders to support and influence internal deal teams with extensions, remarketing, trading, placement, and origination opportunities.
* Assist all trading activity as required, including due diligence query management.
* Prepare business outputs which drive our financial forecasts including the MR income model and lessor contributions.
* Provide maintenance forecast and commentary on the active management of our assets to the boards of our managed entities (ABS).
* Produce and manage relevant calculations for escalations, maintenance reserves letters of credit and EOLAs.
* Perform lease reviews as required to support the above functions.
* Provide technical knowledge support to the wider business.
* Attend seminars and conferences as requested.
* Work flexibly to meet the global nature of Avolon’s business.
* Dublin office based and willingness to travel to meet operational needs.
The Person:
You will be focused, analytical, and resourceful as well as being an excellent communicator and relationship builder. You will have a track record of gathering data and obtaining feedback and will possess an ability to operate in a highly pressurized environment. You will be self-motivated with an ability to think independently and work within a team to identify solutions to issues as they arise. You will be able to articulate complex concepts and influence others through compelling arguments and rationales. You will engender trust amongst stakeholders by delivering accurate and reliable outputs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Third level Degree in Engineering and/or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license, ideally with technical aviation experience.
* A strong IT proficiency individual who strives for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
* Experience with Maintenance Forecasting, and the impact of this discipline on the key financial and operational drivers of the company desirable.
* Ability to interpret legal terms relating to technical covenants of lease agreements.
* Self-starter and leads change effectively, demonstrating a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering on key milestones in a dynamic environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills demonstrating an understanding of the key financial and operational drivers of the company.
* Highly motivated who brings original thought, challenge, and innovation to solving problems.
* Independent minded with the ability to express your views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought while recognizing alternative perspectives.
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships.
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Experienced on Microsoft Office, OEM websites, ATOM, and STREAM.
