An attractive opportunity for Fund Accountant in Private Equity!
Dublin / Hybrid 2-3 days onsite
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant with 3+ years of industry experience to join a rapidly expanding global firm specialising in private markets. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with prior fund accounting or relevant finance/accounting experience who are looking to advance their careers with a leading organisation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Accurately reviewing and approving NAV calculations.
* Review investor cash flow activities, including capital call and distribution notices.
* Review workpapers and supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit.
* Assist the tax department with the review of Fund and investor K-1s and various tax payments.
* Assist in the review of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
* Develop and maintain an understanding of the industry and keep abreast of emerging industry trends.
* Coordinate with fund administrators to ensure timely reporting and compliance with partnership agreements.
* Review distribution waterfalls and carried interest calculations.
* Respond promptly and professionally to investor inquiries.
* Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
* A post-secondary degree in accounting/finance or a related field.
* 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting within private equity, real estate or hedge funds.
* Accountancy qualification – ACA or ACCA (part-qualified or interested in undertaking this qualification).
* Good communication skills.
* Good business acumen.
* Proven analytical thinking skills.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Capable of working independently.
* Please note you must be based in Ireland and have a valid working permit.
