The Commercial Analyst will oversee the analytical running of their dedicated contracts across Ireland, working closely with the wider commercial, finance, and operations teams to deliver overall profitability for the business, client reporting, preparation of financial pricing models for month-end and year-end reporting, and business tool reporting.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Review and follow up on all daily, weekly, monthly profitability figures associated with client accounts.
* Monitor and improve Customer, Category & Supplier measures/KPIs – Profitability.
* Provide management information for improved commercial decision-making that is accurate, timely, accessible, insightful, and robust.
* Protect margins and track account growth through conducting monthly commercial performance meetings.
* Responsible for the Annual Account Budgets & any re-forecasts required. Ensure reporting and monitoring of performance against budget.
* Interact and coordinate activities with Accounts, Operations, Transport, Technical, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Farms, and External Trading Partners.
* Develop and maintain detailed cost analysis reports as required by customers and the business to ensure accuracy in reported numbers.
* Roll out best practice commercial finance practices across specific accounts, category management, and financial reporting.
* Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial reports.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideally, a Third Level Business/Accounting or Commerce Degree.
* Previous experience in commercial analytics.
* Working knowledge of Navision is an advantage.
* Proven track record of results.
* Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once, along with a high level of flexibility and commitment to success.
