Assistant Store Manager Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
* Drive store efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring exceptional customer service and a high-quality fresh food offering in a clean and safe environment.
Duties:
1. Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) as agreed with the Store Manager.
2. Maintain accurate planograms and ensure the correct product range is in place in store.
3. Support the Store Manager in developing and training the team, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the store.
4. Understand and implement strategies to achieve margins across all departments.
5. Evaluate and adopt new initiatives and approaches to enhance store operations.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a management position.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
* Experience managing cash and tills.
* Strong delegation skills.
* Ability to understand and meet KPIs and targets.
