Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst/Manager with a strong background in capital markets. The successful candidate will support project governance, risk management, reporting, and strategic initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role requires extensive experience managing regulatory, operational, and technology-driven projects in investment banking, asset management, or trading environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Governance & Oversight
Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across capital markets initiatives.
Provide governance and oversight for project portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for project success tracking.
Program & Project Management Support
Assist project managers with planning, execution, and monitoring of capital markets projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
Manage project lifecycle documentation, including charters, risk logs, and status reports.
Track resource allocation and project dependencies to optimize delivery efficiency.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Act as a liaison between senior stakeholders, IT teams, and business units to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards for leadership on project progress, risks, and key decisions.
Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, and working groups.
Process Improvement & Change Management
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the PMO framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and market reforms.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a PMO role within capital markets, investment banking, or asset management.
Strong knowledge of financial instruments, market structures, trading systems, and post-trade processes.
Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Prince2, PMI, or equivalent).
Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Clarity PPM, ServiceNow, or similar).
Preferred:
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM.
Experience working on technology-driven projects (FinTech, trading platforms, automation).
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
