Job Description:
The Environmental and Sustainability Advisor will be a part of the Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) Team and will report directly to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager.
Onsite:
* Monitoring activity across various sites around Ireland (predominantly in the Midlands and South-East Region).
* Conducting Environmental Site Inspections and completing inspection records.
* Raising work observations and Corrective Actions / Preventative Actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
* Conducting Toolbox Talks (TBT) and other environmental training with relevant employees and contractors as necessary.
Desk-based:
* Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 14001:2015 accredited Environmental Management System (EMS) (and other Management Systems as they are implemented going forward).
* Promoting the Shareridge Environmental Policy, Sustainability Policy and Carbon Management Policy and their associated objectives.
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining site specific Environmental Management Plans, Waste Management Plans, Environmental Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.
* Assisting with the collation and analysis of environmental and sustainability data for waste & resource management, energy management, carbon management, etc.
* Attending meetings as required.
Candidate Description:
Essential:
* A third level qualification in an Environmental Science / Engineering / Sustainability related discipline.
* Full, clean Irish driving licence and confident with driving around Ireland.
* Strong and accurate record keeping abilities.
* Strong IT skills, proficiency with MS Office applications.
* Ability to problem solve and prioritise work effectively.
* Excellent communication skills.
* References.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience on civil engineering projects and utilities / roadwork type projects.
* Experience working with subcontractors, clients and dealing with the public.
