JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Developer is responsible for developing Richmond Marketing’s leading premium products portfolio in the On-trade channel. They will be expected to demonstrate good negotiation and presentation skills along with a proven sales record and knowledge of the licensed trade. They should have a strong customer focus and be able to maintain a high level of productivity in all aspects of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Actively market and promote Richmond’s portfolio within the licensed trade.
2. Build strong direct & indirect route to market business.
3. Achieve value and volume targets.
4. Execute promotions and visibility within the trade.
5. Be aware and report on competitor and industry updates.
6. Deliver high standards of credit management across customer base.
7. Maintain high standards of appearance, behaviour and discipline.
8. Adhere to performance appraisal procedures.
9. Build and maintain key relationships with On-Trade Sales Manager, On-Trade Director, Telesales and Customer Planning team, and the Brand and Marketing teams.
10. Have a strong teamwork focus; ensure full liaison with other team members and departments.
11. Any other duties and responsibilities which management deem appropriate from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Candidates must be eligible to drive in the Island of Ireland and have a full clean driver’s licence.
2. Excellent relationship building, a strong customer focus and interpersonal skills are essential.
3. A good level of commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate good negotiation skills.
4. Strong communication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to work on their own initiative.
