We are seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Child Disability Team in Portlaoise. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families with disabilities.
About the Role
You will be working within an inter-disciplinary team with a variety of complex cases including children with physical disabilities. The geographic area covered is Edenderry, Portarlington and Mountmellick. A Senior Physiotherapist will provide clinical supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the child/young person, their parent/family/carer, and all other relevant stakeholders to identify and achieve goals.
* Demonstrate sufficient clinical skills in assessment and intervention to meet the specific needs of the caseload.
* Build strong positive working relationships across all areas of the service, ensuring a common understanding.
* Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team in planning and delivering services for children and young people.
* Plan and organise individual and group caseloads, including assessments, interventions, and diagnosis for children (0-18 years) with complex needs.
Requirements
* A recognised validated University Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
* Qualification approved by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy.
* Eligibility to work in the state.
* Full Registration with CORU.
* Full Drivers Licence with access to own transport.
* Previous experience in disability and working with children and families in a community-based setting.
