Field Service Engineer - CNC Laser or Punching Machines
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in a high-tech company which will involve a wide range of varied technologies within the metal fabrication industry in Ireland.
Key Duties:
1. Work with colleagues to build up knowledge of machines sold by the company.
2. Install, service, maintain, and repair equipment sold or serviced by the company, primarily Laser or Punch equipment, as well as other products.
3. Travel to customer sites throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland, with scheduling to keep engineers within their local region where possible.
4. Travel abroad for training purposes and exceptional customer service work may also be required.
5. Strive for a competent and professional response to customer service demands.
6. Achieve productivity targets as defined by the Service Manager.
7. Complete and submit administrative work promptly on a daily/weekly basis, including job reports, part returns notes, overtime sheets, and expenses.
8. Acquire a complete working knowledge of equipment sold by the company and pursue ongoing professional development.
9. Coordinate and cooperate with other staff members to ensure smooth and professional operation of the Service Division.
10. Observe customers' non-disclosure requirements where they exist.
11. Follow the company’s safety procedures and prioritize safety in all work activities, including driving company vehicles.
12. Adhere to customer safety instructions while at customer premises.
Skills Required for Role:
1. Knowledge and/or experience working on CNC Laser or Punching machines.
2. Strong IT skills – Microsoft suite and ability to learn new IT platforms.
3. Written and oral proficiency in English.
4. Good technical knowledge background and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
5. Flexibility to travel during the year to customer sites in Ireland and occasionally for training at OEM suppliers.
