AWS Infrastructure Services - Controls Engineer for Construction (BMS/EPMS)
We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our EMEA team in the Data Center Global Services group. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the building automation systems within Amazon data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop project scope and specifications based on customer needs
* Manage scopes of work relative to site specifics and customer needs
* Determine the scope of work relative to design intent of customer needs
* Read and interpret specifications and implement them as they apply to the work environment
* Develop control panel BOMs
* Develop ISA data sheets for temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters
* Develop drawings for control panels, power distribution, junction boxes
* Develop logic diagrams for complex logic devices
* Prepare cable, routing plans and schedules
* Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems
* Provide technical assistance as needed to internal customers
* Coordinate project work internally and externally to ensure on-time completion of projects
About the Team:
The AWS Infrastructure Services team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Requirements:
* B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or related engineering degrees
* Minimum 3 years experience in BMS or EPMS controls-related experience
* Understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC
* Experience leading and managing teams, preferably in a Controls, Mechanical, or Electrical construction environment
