Responsibility for new products for all divisions (Insulation, Technical Insulation, Interiors, Construction Accessories, Facades & Roofing).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leadership and Vision – together with the Category Manager, set the direction of new products & sourcing, identifying strategic sustainable opportunities to grow the business, and provide strong leadership to the operations and commercial teams.
2. Organisational Structure – to continually examine the product offering from SIG to the construction industry, considering market needs and business development opportunities and make recommendations to meet customers’ needs to achieve maximum effectiveness.
3. Product Sourcing Strategy – together with the Category Manager determine and implement a product strategy for all product divisions to include own-label opportunities, to maximise the margin and budget opportunities.
4. Reporting – Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenues.
5. Supplier Relationships – working with the Category Manager, engage with all key suppliers and search for new supply sources. Continually looking for the best trading terms, and new product opportunities, to ensure SIG remains relevant.
6. Customer Relationships – build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Conduct market research, trends, competitor & customer analysis. Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Higher Academic Education (Business / Marketing, or industry related discipline)
2. Min. 2-5 years’ experience within a sales organisation of a construction related company would be an advantage.
3. In-depth understanding of the Irish Construction sector would be an advantage.
4. An experienced manager with a proven track record of product sourcing and delivering growth and profitability.
5. Proven negotiation ability together with strong powers of persuasion and influence.
6. Able to demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and to work cross-functionally within a business.
7. Ability to prioritise, multitask, lead, and delegate. Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
8. Proficient in Microsoft packages.
9. Full Clean Driving License.
