Our Client based in Roscommon town is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.
As an integral part of the team, you'll work closely with the CFO, gaining hands-on experience across key areas of finance. From preparing management accounts to handling payroll, VAT returns, and supporting the audit process, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the company.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
* Prepare payroll files based on employee timeclock data.
* Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
* Compile and report on company expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare and file VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation.
* Assist in preparing documents and data for the audit process.
* Perform additional finance-related tasks as needed to support the team and department.
What are we looking for?
* 2-3 years accounting experience and a qualification or part qualification in CIMA/ACCA (or similar).
* Experience in payroll an advantage.
* A self-starter with a passion for finance, strong analytical skills, and a drive for career progression.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in ERP systems is a plus.
