We champion the city’s commercial heart through collaboration, advocacy, and promotion of events and initiatives that help make Cork a vibrant and thriving place to live, work and visit.Role OverviewWe are seeking a creative, highly organised, and driven Social Media, Marketing & Office Executive to join our small but passionate team. This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves Cork City, and has a flair for storytelling, content creation, and community engagement.You will take ownership of the CBA’s digital presence, coordinate marketing outputs, and support the delivery of our key events and campaigns throughout the year.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X etcSupport with PR campaigns including press release writing and photoshoot management.Monthly Newsletter via MailchimpCreate and coordinate production of marketing assets in Canva or with external designersDevelop blog content in collaboration with CBA committeesSupport and attend CBA-led and citywide events such as Cork on a Fork, Corkmas, Nighttime Economy InitiativesAssist in the promotion and marketing of all CBA eventsWebsite maintenance and updatesAssist in executing membership communications programmesHelp build and maintain a targeted membership prospect databaseDay-to-day office tasksTake and circulate meeting minutes for committee meetingsCandidate ProfileEssential:2+ years’ experience in a similar social media, marketing or events roleStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience using social media platforms and scheduling toolsAbility to work on multiple projects and prioritise tasksStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsWillingness to attend events and work occasional evenings/weekends when neededFlexibility in hours to respond to Social Media requirements as neededDesirable:Proficiency in Canva and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp)Knowledge of Wordpress or similar CMSExperience working with a membership-based organisationFamiliarity with Cork’s business and cultural landscapeBasic graphic design or photography/videography skillsKnowledge of SEO and digital marketing trendsWhat We OfferOpportunity to make a visible impact on Cork City’s business and city centre developmentDynamic and supportive working environmentInvolvement in some of the city’s most exciting events and campaignsProfessional development opportunitiesGreat networking opportunities with Cork City’s civic and business leadersHow to ApplyPlease send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role to info@corkbusiness.ie by Monday 12th May.
