Job Description:
Position: Automation Project Engineer. PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is looking for an Automation Project Engineer. This is a site-based role in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing projects on automated systems including BMS/EMS, SCADA, Historian, Kepware OPC, and process equipment PLCs/IPCs/HMIs.
2. Support in terms of specification, procurement, implementation, and validation of automated systems, ensuring adherence to GXP procedures on-site.
3. Manage and execute automation change controls.
4. Lead discussions with project teams internal and external, providing technical support and making informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet required quality standards.
6. Manage subcontractors and vendors as part of project delivery.
7. Support and development of disaster recovery process and execution of system back-ups at defined intervals.
8. Work closely with the Site’s Global/Local IT teams to ensure continued technical alignment and support for projects and manufacturing systems.
Requirements:
Qualifications: A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Automation and Control systems, or equivalent.
Experience/Skills Required:
1. 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role supporting industrial automated networks and systems in a high-speed, high-volume life sciences industry.
2. Excellent verbal communication skills with an ability to work with various stakeholders of all levels and within multidisciplinary teams.
3. Organisational skills to map out projects, prioritize workload and keep accurate documentation.
4. Technical competencies in system integration using Ethernet, ASi, Profibus & other industrial interfaces.
5. Experience with industrial controllers - Allen Bradley, Schneider Pac Drive, Siemens and B&R PLCs, IPCs, Zenon, Wonderware, WinCC and Allen Bradley HMIs & Mitsubishi Robotics.
6. Solid understanding of the OSI PI system architecture with 2 years plus experience in PI System.
Must have a valid EU Work Permit Stamp 4 and Irish Residency.
