Technical Trainer – Motor industry (Dublin)
Our client is highly reputable motor company seeking a Technical Trainer to join a fantastic team which is made up of both internal and external trainers. The key focus will be on delivery of new technology, product and progression training to all brands. Full brand training will be proviided for the successful candidate. Salary: €60K plus benefits.
The Role:
* Delivery of technical training in the traditional classroom/workshop environment. Additionally support and enable the Technical Training team in the introduction of new digital training formats.
* Collaboratively act as part of the technical training team to develop devise technical training programs in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines and standardoised certification paths.
* To ensure localisation and utilising of manufacturer training materials to organisational requirements to ensure all objectives are met by both our partners in the networks and by our manufacturers.
* Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.) and to execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually as required.
* Record completions and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
* Observe and evaluate results of training programs and work with both the Technical Training Manager and the external trainers to ensure training is ongoingly reviewed to ensure the best outcomes for our Partners.
* Determine overall effectiveness of the training programs offered within the National Training Centre and work with the management team to make improvements as required. the ensure all equipment, tooling and vehicles are maintained in a condition that allows training delivery within the National Training Centre.
* There will intermittently be a requirement to travel within the European Union to attend training at each of our manufacturer training facilities.
The Candidate:
* National Craft Certification in Automotive or similar industry experience or Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is a strong asset.
* Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical training and the ability to address training needs. Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.
* Working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) with experience in designing technical course content is an advantage (company will offer manufacturer training in this area to enable the candidate to achieve trainer certification)
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse, motivated team.
* Very strong attention to detail, strong decision-making skills
* Awareness and knowledge of the Irish automotive industry – Prior industry experience at Dealer or Manufacturer level is desirable
