As the Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of our McCabes Pharmacy social media channels including Meta, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Tik Tok.
You will develop and execute an engaging content calendar that aligns with monthly promotional and commercial calendar and our employer brand strategy, while appealing to the target customer audiences and personas working closely with multiple departments especially ecommerce, procurement and pharmacy teams.
You will manage the feedback and responses to all queries coming through the social media channels in a prompt and customer friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities Drive the social media and content strategy with a focus on delivering social-first content to increase followers, reach and engagement across our core social channels while driving increased instore and online revenue and conversions.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Support office teams, pharmacy teams, Influencers, PR, suppliers, and internal teams, to build meaningful content aligned to commercial priorities.
Liaise with the Customer Marketing Manager on highlighting new initiatives and pharmacy services in line with customer and brand offering.
Visit stores regularly and attend events when required to capture live content.
Build relationships with suppliers to obtain assets and collaborate with their influencer and events to build our community engagement.
Influencer engagement- Work alongside Marketing communications team and PR company to ensure our influencer strategy is strong.
Attendance at PR and store events will be required.
Create blog content for our Health Advice and Blog section on the website that aligns with our business strategy working collaboratively with ecommerce team.
Develop and execute paid social campaigns working closely with assistant brand manager to help promote commercial offering, stimulate interest and drive footfall and conversions both in-store and online.
Track performance and spend to ensure effective.
Respond promptly to customer queries and messages received from customers via the social media channels ensuring relevant queries and concerns are addressed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Work closely with Customer marketing manager to ensure responses align with company service standards.
Create regular report outlining the customer queries and feedback received for close monitoring.
Support our HR teams to deliver our employer brand strategy.
Build close working relationships with pharmacy teams to help develop meaningful and engaging content.
Visit pharmacies to help create content and build strong working relationships.
Analytics Prepare monthly performance reports tracking performance versus agreed KPI's using social media reporting tools and Google Analytics.
Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.
Innovation Stay up to date with current social media trends and new digital technologies, share innovation stories from competition and other brands and evaluate how McCabes Pharmacy can best participate.
Key Experience / Skills / Education Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Own vehicle required due to regular store visits.
Previous experience in a social media/marketing role preferred.
Good knowledge of the retail industry preferred.
Proven track record of growing a significant social media presence and developing, executing, and maintaining paid campaigns across multiple social platforms.
