Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Buyer to join an expanding multinational manufacturing company in Wexford.
This role involves supporting the purchasing team, managing suppliers, and meeting customer service expectations. The position is based in Wexford with hybrid working options, making it suitable for an enthusiastic team worker seeking a rewarding career in Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Purchasing Team with all purchasing related activity.
* Develop and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and purchase orders ensuring alignment with company policies, budgets, and timelines.
* Monitor and review supplier performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and expectations.
* Manage all day-to-day aspects of Vendor relationships.
* Complete supplier performance reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis.
* Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Monitor material usage, forecast demand, and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
* Address and resolve any supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills to build a strong team who are clear on their responsibilities and are measured to KPIs.
Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong SAP knowledge and expertise.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
The estimated salary for this role is €55,000 - €70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
