This system automatically delivers real-time glucose readings, providing unsurpassed accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones.
Your Opportunity to Shape the Future of Healthcare
As a Calibration Technician at Abbott in Kilkenny, you will perform calibration functions on manufacturing, testing, and measuring equipment. Your work will impact the accuracy of our measurement and process equipment, ensuring product quality.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Calibration Services: Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on various measurement instruments used to measure pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, mass, and other devices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including calibration certificates, test results, and equipment history, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with measurement equipment, implementing corrective actions to ensure proper functionality.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure calibrated instruments meet established specifications and standards. Participate in audits to verify compliance with industry regulations.
Testing and Validation: Perform testing and validation of new equipment to ensure it meets required standards before being put into service.
Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to address calibration-related issues and provide technical support.
Calibration Standards: Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements, recommending updates to calibration procedures and protocols as needed.
Training: Provide training to users on proper handling and care of calibrated equipment, educating staff on the importance of accurate measurements and the calibration process.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or Science.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a calibration role in the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
