We are looking for somebody to join our passionate team. We are recruiting for the role of General Manager based in Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Co. Kerry, reporting to the Regional Manager. The General Manager role is an extremely hands-on role although dynamic, so you won’t be afraid to get involved. You will have outstanding stakeholder management, be a team player and lead from the front.
To be successful in this role, the right candidate should preferably have extensive experience working in a Hotel, Food and beverage environment at a senior management level. Ultimately, you will help us establish our site’s reputation as one of the best eateries in the area.
Job Responsibilities
1. Leads a strong team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on management of operations
2. Manages the client and community relationships at the location, continually assessing operations, and developing plans to provide optimal service and drive employee and customer engagement and satisfaction
3. Builds, develops, and leads a management team and staff capable of carrying out organisational objectives to the highest standards
4. Recommends methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement and growth based on operational needs/capabilities
5. In partnership with Finance, manages a budget and assists in the design of improvements to optimise financial performance and operational productivity
6. Manages legislative compliance and maintains all associated records and reports
7. Ensures compliance with Aramark's standards of operation, including safety standards and Aramark's Business Conduct Policy.
Qualifications
1. 5+ years of Food & Beverage management experience, operating in a commercial environment
2. The ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role
3. Savvy interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support teams
4. Experience in delivering hospitality services
5. Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
6. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
7. A high degree of knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP
8. Advanced written and verbal communication skills
9. Experience crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs and initiatives.
