Job Title: Finance Systems Manager Role Summary The Finance Systems Team sits within Finance Technology and Operations (FTO) section, this section is a central element supporting our clients shared service model, providing a range of financial and transaction support services to all business areas within the Company. This role is within the Finance Systems Team which provides strategic systems direction, system administration and first line support of Finances key systems delivering key reporting and payment services. A strong control environment and a high level of service are a key deliverable to Finances customers. Operating in a stimulating and diverse sector, the role represents an excellent opportunity for a finance systems specialist to take up an exciting position to support change and improvement in the FTO teams service delivery. Responsibilities: *Overall, managing the operation of the relevant finance systems together with driving the strategic direction of finance systems. Ensuring consistent & efficient operation of the key finance systems including, general ledger, staff expenses system, purchase to pay system & fixed asset system. Managing helpdesk for dealing with frontline issues experienced by users of finance systems. *Ensure integrations with other systems, in use in the organisation, are in place and running in an efficient manner. *Manage the implementation of systems upgrades Responsible for the management of a team of 2 direct reports including allocating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met. Develop and promote the development of people within the team. *Maintain a strongly controlled systems environment. Troubleshooting finance system issues and escalate internally or to 3rd party vendors as required *Liaise with the ICT team in relation to scheduled system updates testing that impact finance systems. *Provide user training and maintain user manuals on finance systems. Provide regular KPI reporting to management. *Lead on the implementation of process improvements simplification of processes and identification of opportunities for improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the finance function particularly supporting the rollout of the Finance Strategy. *Provide support to the Finance system users to resolve finance system issues and develop innovative solutions by leveraging existing technology to automate/improve existing processes. Vendor contract management Contribute to and support a range of projects within the team. Skills *High level of initiative, motivation, commitment and professionalism. Excellent interpersonal & written skills with an ability to easily form good working relationships with team members and senior stakeholders alike. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to generate innovative/technical solutions as required. *Experience of system upgrades/system implementation an advantage. *Experience of AI and/or RPA an advantage. Knowledge *At least 4 years experience working in the area of finance systems. Systems and/or accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) an advantage. Knowledge of financial systems, for example, general ledger systems, Purchase2Pay, staff expenses & fixed assets systems. *Knowledge of Infor SunSystems and Infor Q&A advantageous.
