Active Travel Design Technician - IE NTA (National Transport Authority)
As a CAD Technician, you will have the chance to work with our Engineering and Technical teams designing facilities for active travel projects including walking and cycling facilities, bridges, drainage structures, junction design, and other transport infrastructure.
As part of the team, you will support the development of active travel schemes from options development through to construction, producing document packages and schematic designs based on the scope of the project, design criteria, applicable codes/standards, and quality control processes.
A full-time working week is 40 hours.
This role enjoys a hybrid working pattern but does require 3 days per week based on site with our client in Dublin city centre.
Here's what you'll need: AUTOCAD experience in the preparation of plans and contract drawings in a professional team environment with experience in Traffic, Highways, or Urban Design.
Experience in associated Autodesk design software (such as AutoTrack and KeyLines).
An understanding of design standards - MRB (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges) and DMURS and the National Cycle Manual would be particularly welcomed.
An understanding of general construction practices and procedures.
Collaborative approach with strong communication skills.
Practical thinker with a good eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and designs.
