Our client, a leading not for profit, has an exciting permanent Communications job on offer.
Joining an established team of 6, the ideal candidate will have experience in writing and pitching media content, building strong relationships with national and regional media, and supporting campaigns through effective storytelling across digital and traditional platforms.
This role will suit an experienced Communications Officer looking to take the next step in their career.
Day to day responsibilities include:
1. Plan and execute media engagement for fundraising, advocacy, and humanitarian campaigns.
2. Write press releases, articles, and promotional materials to support various initiatives.
3. Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media contacts across platforms.
4. Arrange and prepare colleagues for media interviews, responding to queries promptly.
5. Contribute to digital content, including blogs and social media.
6. Support and accompany media on overseas trips to programme countries.
7. Collaborate with teams across the organization to achieve communication goals.
Requirements:
1. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce quality content under tight deadlines.
2. Solid knowledge of the Irish media landscape and proven ability to build media relationships.
3. Minimum of 3 years in national journalism (print, broadcast, or online) or PR/communications.
4. Detail-oriented, creative, and strategic thinker.
