Site Engineers We are working with our client, a leading Tier 2 main contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to work on a large residential project in Tralee, Co. Kerry.Key Responsibilities:Surveying and Setting Out: Conduct site surveys, set out reference points, and establish benchmarks to guide construction activities accurately.Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and assessments.
Address any deviations from project specifications promptly.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of construction activities.Problem Solving: Identify and address engineering issues on-site, proposing solutions and adjustments as necessary.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including site diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.Health and Safety: Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a culture of safety among the project team.Materials Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials, ensuring optimal resource utilization.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field desirableProven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Proficient in surveying and setting out using total stations and other surveying equipment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD and project management softwareWhat's on Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageLong-term career development with a strong pipeline of projects in the East Cork regionOpportunity to work with a respected contractor on high-profile residential and mixed-use developmentsSupportive and dynamic work environment
