About the Role
The successful candidate will have:
1. Previous supervisory or management experience within the hotel industry, particularly in Food & Beverage areas.
2. Excellent attention to detail.
3. High standards as paramount when it comes to customer focus.
4. A pro-active and multi-tasking approach to work.
5. Strong yield management skills.
6. Excellent people management and communication skills.

Reporting to the General Manager and Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations within all departments. We are seeking a candidate with previous experience managing food and beverage and front of house, who will actively participate in duty management shifts while remaining available to staff and guests.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting the General Manager & Deputy General Manager in the everyday running of the property as a profit-driven, customer-focused, team-oriented business.
2. Covering DM shifts.
3. Assisting in the day-to-day operation of Cahernane House Hotel.
4. Assisting in achieving or improving on the hotel’s budgeted financial plan by driving sales, controlling costs, and managing expenditure.
5. Ensuring the product and service offering is constantly reviewed to ensure it is exceeding customer expectations and retains an edge over competitors.
6. Assisting with team training in accordance with company and legislative standards.
7. Ensuring the presentation of each department of the hotel is in accordance with company standards.
8. Encouraging good working relationships with all staff and with the local community.
9. Attending and holding regular communication meetings with management and staff.
10. Showing awareness of the daily business of the hotel and communicating details of this business to each department.
11. Participating in the recruitment and selection of new employees, particularly in the F&B Areas.
12. Ensuring rosters are in line with daily and weekly business levels and service standards across all departments.
13. Assisting with weekly stock control alongside the restaurant and Bar supervisors, assisting with menu preparations for booked business.
14. Promoting a culture of learning and development amongst the team where all members feel that they are fully equipped to work to their best potential within their roles.
15. Complying with company regulations regarding fire, health and safety, hygiene, and security, including routine fire walks and security checks in accordance with company policy.
