We are now inviting applicants for a Control Room Operator based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Previous experience in a Control Room Environment or a similar area would be highly desirable.
The position itself is based on a set rolling roster of 12 hour day shifts Saturday and Sunday.
The hours for this position will be from 07:00 to 19:00.
A PSA License is not a prerequisite for the role as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain this if successful.
Main Responsibilities:
* Responding to all types of alarm activations and deploying the mobile patrol division, giving them accurate information where applicable.
* Managing the relationship between customers and security officers in a calm and timely manner.
* Dealing with a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls while using our company software to log and track information.
* Learning about different types of alarms and the protocols to follow.
* Assisting our security officers out of hours with rostering, checking on and off duty, and any other ad hoc queries.
* Compiling daily reports and handovers with a breakdown of incidents that may have occurred while on duty.
Candidate Qualities:
* Previous experience in an Alarm Receiving Centre.
* Highly proficient in computer programs and Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to communicate clear, accurate instructions and remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent attention to detail as report writing and detailed daily handovers are a compulsory part of the role.
* Be customer-focused with a friendly demeanor.
Please note, the successful candidate must be able to provide a full 5-year employment, unemployment (covid-19 payment), self-employment, and education for pre-employment PSA screening.
