Leading the Planning & Supply Chain Department, including Pick & Pack, with overall financial, operational and compliance accountability, including Ordering, Warehouse & Goods Receiving, IDS, Material Management, and Labour Forecasting & Planning.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Is responsible for the ordering of materials to run the business effectively and in line with the materials budget.
* Ensures close collaboration between Stores and the Warehouse so that stock levels are constantly monitored in line with Days on Hand data, minimum/maximum stock levels are adhered to, and targets and applicable business KPIs are met.
* Records and reviews material waste and deadstock and adjusts stock levels proactively and accordingly.
* Communicates with internal & external customers on irregularities and ensures GG Suppliers are performing to the expected high standards with the support of Procurement.
* Responsible for the overall operation, the employees and the processes of the warehouse/inventory and packing areas and managing goods receiving; storing, picking & packing and distribution of items internally to achieve short and long-term goals and KPIs.
* Planning and coordinating the flow of all materials from the warehouse and Food Stores to the production areas, so that all raw materials and equipment reach their destinations safely, on time, in the right quantity and in the most cost-effective way, according to internal customers' expectations.
Education:
* Minimum Third Level qualification in purchasing, Logistics/Supply Chain, Business or other suitable qualification in Supply Chain Management (i.e. APICS) is desirable.
Work Experience:
* Desirable specialisation in logistics and/or supply chain management 4+ years of Supply Chain and Logistics Management experience.
* Experience of at least 2-3 years in heading and mentoring a team. Experience of working in a Food Hygiene/Health & Safety/High-Security environment preferred.
* Previous purchasing experience of at least 3 years is essential. Management of customer and supplier relationships.
Technical Skills:
* Food and hygiene-related education/training Certification or demonstrable experience in Lean Six Sigma is preferred but not essential.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office systems is essential, especially Microsoft Excel.
* Strong planning & analytical skills, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritise a high volume of work. GG systems knowledge is an advantage (but not essential).
* Forklift License will be an advantage.
